Terms of Service

DiningBros is a place for students to rate campus dining hall food and share short video reviews. By creating an account or using the site or app (together, the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you sign up with a school email we mark you as verified for that school; that only means your email domain matched, not that the school endorses you or us.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens under it. One person, one account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; that removes your profile and everything you posted.

What you post

You own your check-ins, notes, photos and video links. By posting them you give DiningBros a worldwide, royalty-free licence to show, store, resize and share them as part of running and promoting the Service, for as long as they stay on the Service. Delete a post and the licence for it ends, except for copies already shared by other people or kept in backups for a short time.

Videos are embedded from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Those platforms' terms apply to the videos themselves; we only store the link.

House rules

Be honest and be decent. Don't post anything that:

• harasses, threatens or demeans a person, including dining staff and other students;
• is sexual, graphic, hateful or illegal;
• is spam, advertising or a fake rating (rating food you didn't eat, running multiple accounts, gaming points);
• shares someone's private information or a photo of a person who didn't agree to it;
• infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.

Ratings are opinions about food, not about people. Reviews of staff are not allowed.

Moderation

Anyone can report a check-in, video, dish or user. We review reports and may remove content, strip points or badges, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. You can block other users; blocking hides each of you from the other.

Points and badges

Points, streaks, leaderboards and badges are for fun. They have no cash value, can be changed or reset at any time, and can be removed if they were earned by breaking the rules.

Schools and dining halls

DiningBros isn't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any college, university or dining operator. School names appear for identification only. Dish and dining hall listings are contributed by users and may be wrong or out of date.

No warranties, limited liability

The Service is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be available, accurate or bug-free, and we aren't responsible for what you eat based on a rating. To the fullest extent the law allows, DiningBros and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to US$50.

Ending things

You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we shut the Service down.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters we'll post a notice on the site or in the app before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
